Op zaterdagavond 14 april jl. organiseerde het bestuur van TheDutch4Kids een Charity Diner met chefkok Margot Janse.
Tijdens dit avondvullende programma werden Zuid-Afrikaanse gerechten, bereid door chefkok Margot Janse, geserveerd en vond er een veiling plaats. Met de verkoop van couverts tijdens het diner en de opbrengsten van de veiling is tijdens deze avond € 31.000,- opgehaald voor het ISABELO project van Margot Janse.
About the ISABELO project
Margot’s ISABELO project, which started in 2009 with 70 muffins every Friday, has grown to an initiative that now feeds 1500 school children ceach day of the week in the Franschhoek Valley. In 2017 ISABELO provided 240.000 breakfasts, 40.000 warm lunches and baked 16.000 nutricious muffins to children.
“No school child can learn on an empty stomach,” says Margot. ISABELO is responsible for nutricious, protein based meals across schools in the Franschhoek Valley. We feed hungry minds. This initiative, where every penny benefits the project, is close to my heart. It creates a change in our community and putts smiles on little faces. – Margot Janse
